The Colony (2013) Review:
The Colony is a post-apocalyptic/science fiction film blended with a monster film, in the vein of Alien or Pandorum. The sci-fi settings of an ice age world is not new, but always fascinating to me. However here, I found that, except from a few interesting concepts such as the quarantines, the universe created is not exploited enough. Some elements, such as the reverse-weather tower, are only briefly introduced and would have deserved a more in-depth explanation. Also, nothing ever explain how the world came to such disaster, all this is just summarized in one sentence in the movie, which is far from enough. The sci-fi geeks have mixed opinion about this but, we’ll like to know yours in the comments section below.
